First Class is DONE! Now what?!

So you got your needles, got some pretty string and the teacher wants me to whaaaaaaat again?!

Don't panic.

Don't make knots.

Just breathe and CAST ON.

That's right. The first day we are just practicing cast on. You only have to practice until you get the movement down without have to watch the video to do it.

WHAT VIDEO? THIS ONE:

Did you click on the Teacher's Bulletin Board (scroll down a bit) on the front HOME page for this weeks assignment?

GO THERE NOW AND then re-WATCH THE VIDEO!!!

Practice, pause here and then come back...

So...let's check in, shall we?

Your cast on row might look alot like this:

The stitches to the left look pretty even but look on the right side. What happened?

If yours looks like mine, you are doing oooo-kaaaaaay, but you still need some more practice. The loops on the right side are not cast on evenly, some are too tight, or too loose and maybe an extra "wrap" or two.

You want them to look like this:

Front side of the cast on, even loops, not too loose, not too tight

Backside of the cast on with even bumps up near the needle

Keep practicing that Easy Cast On just like the video.

****FOR THOSE OVER-ACHIEVERS****

*Bonus-look up "E Cast-on" and the word "knitting" on Google and demonstrate this technique in class next week.

I'll have a special something for those that can show it to me!!!

I'll see you in the next post for the KNIT stitch.
